Smart Grocery List
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026 · About this app
1. Introduction
Smart Grocery List ("the app") is an Android app published by Toolnookz ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies only to Smart Grocery List; other Toolnookz apps have their own policy.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect your personal information through this app. The app does not require an account, and we do not operate a server that receives your data.
- What you enter: categorized shopping lists, quick add. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- Advertising data (collected by Google, not by us): this app shows ads through Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, and information about how you interact with ads. See Third-Party Services.
- Purchases: if you buy the optional premium upgrade, the payment is handled by Google Play. We receive confirmation that the purchase is valid, but not your payment details.
The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, microphone recordings or precise location.
3. Permissions
The app may request the following Android permissions:
- Internet access: used to load ads and to check your premium purchase. The content you enter in the app is not sent over the internet.
You can review or withdraw permissions at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Smart Grocery List → Permissions.
4. How We Use Your Information
Information you enter is used only on your device to provide the features described on the app page. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising or profiling.
5. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored in the app's private storage on your device.
- If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include the app's data in your device backup. That backup is managed by Google and your device settings.
- Uninstalling the app deletes the data stored by the app on your device.
Because your data stays on your device, keeping your device locked and up to date is the best way to protect it.
6. Third-Party Services
- Google AdMob shows ads in the app. Google's use of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Google Play Billing processes the optional premium purchase, under the Google Play Terms of Service.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- You can delete your data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in Android Settings → Google → Ads. Where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent before showing personalized ads.
- Because we do not hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to access or delete on our side. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will respond.
8. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we change what the app does with information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
